This is quite significant, as the impact of pumped hydro in the German electricity system is substantial during times of low PV power and high demands (mornings & evenings). With more and more batteries coming online, we can expect to see this additionally from battery storage.

As analysed by @energy-charts.bsky.social, the battery storage power capacity (around 12 GW) has overtaken the power capacity of pumped hydro (around 10 GW) in 2024. (compared to peak loads of 60-70 GW)

Die physikalischen Stromflüsse sind hier allerdings nicht so aussagekräftig. Da es sich tatsächlich auch um Durchleitung handeln kann. Schaut man sich den Stromhandel für alle Länder an, erkennt man, dass viel in die Schweiz geht

There might be better weather conditions, but today we proudly finished our plug-in PV system for students! They can experience the technology and learn about the effects of tilt, orientation and albedo on PV production, and analyse long-term yield data. Have a look @balkonsolar.bsky.social
