My daughter and I did a Leijorette thing yesterday. After a year of agoraphobia, I was at an event *and* in a picture. A few months ago it would have been impossible. (thank you @mulish❤️)

Notifying them by text message that they have 60 days to vacate a location they have put their blood, sweat and tears into. That's some heartless bullshit. I'm sure it's easier to discard history via text, but the fact that you couldn't do it over the phone or even on a letterhead speaks volumes to the type of person you are. Please know that I will do everything in my power to boycott whatever business goes into this building. I will share the story of how soulless an owner you are and that no local in their right damn mind would ever frequent any establishment that is brave enough to open their doors in this location. I will comment on every Yelp review, every Google review, every social media post with the utmost disdain and vitriol as I can possibly muster. This location will be associated with shame and disgust for years to come for what you did. No amount of polish and upgrades you do to this building will wash away the fact you will never truly be accepted in the Quarter. You sir are trash. So welcome to the French Quarter, hope it was worth it.

Saturday sewing. I can’t bear to throw away unloved fabric or scraps and often stitch up 5x5” scrap blocks when I’m between projects. Tonight, I’m turning some of them some into a quilt.

My son’s high school graduation quilt. I had to pause halfway through making it and ten years passed before I finished. 😬

The cool thing is that people don’t remember how long it takes you to make them a quilt. They just know you gave them a handmade quilt. ❤️
