Totally agree. A lot of their early stuff especially just kind of bounced off of me, Miller's Crossing especially. That movie has everything I love in movies and yet I felt so little in spite of the craftsmanship at display. Barton Fink is a masterpiece though.

Yes! That scene of Willa doing karate is so magical to watch, the way its framed and underscored with the song. In any other movie that might be the coolest scene in it, but obviously there's so much other great stuff in OBAA that I understand it's not the first thing to discuss.

The classic Ape movies are such an incredible trip. I slightly prefer Escape to Conquest, but that whole stretch is amazing.
