The thing I was considering G, is do they work together, as the "fluff" was bundled together in different areas and it didn't appear to be accidental or random.
I'm unsure how they would communicate if this was the case.

I've never seen the mealworms do this before, which is why I thought I'd ask as it has really intrigued me😊
I know it could be coincidental but there's definitely little "bundles" appearing.
