The audio-reactive animation here is based on a render target written by another Niagara system, which uses sim stages to write audio analysis data into one line every frame, and push previous data down a row. Here’s what that texture looks like, basically a spectrogram:

Fucked around a bit with a realtime space scene today.
UE5, used a single 128³ volume texture multisampled for the base height, colorized with a gradient, and normals cheaply derived with DDX/DDY. Rendered at higher res and downsized.
