Cars go on the TdF roads, I've seen it, the crowds panicked and shouted like mad, the car just made it off the road before the police followed. 15 seconds later the police motorbike would have crashed into the car. 8 WT teams would not pull out of the TdF.

I hear what you're saying, and no-one wants the riders to be safer than me. I just feel like the problem needs to be solved. A big part of the problem is driver negligence. Surely the WT teams have a bigger voice in trying to make people aware. Solve it in the races could help our roads too.

So the organisers need help, maybe more volunteers to marshall and a bigger budget. I don't think WTteams pulling out helps, maybe continuing with a protest ride so non cycle fans become aware.

I was thinking that maybe all the WT teams could each employ one person as an emergency stand in to help the not so rich organisations. It seems sad to think that we might not be seeing this race next year. I would volunteer to help out.
