Wasn't his watch that it happened on. I'd prefer focus on helpful things that can be done on both sides,,, by current govt and for families. I don't see the intersection.

I sincerely don't understand. What can Carney do for these families? He's a Prime Minister, not a therapist, or .... What do they want from him? Especially 2 years later?

HOW does this show keep winning over all the other late night and now SNL?! Is it not the least ambitious, least actual variety (it's just Oliver talking, no?)? Just one show/week vs 4 or 5, long season breaks. No music, no "bits" (a la carpool karaoke). Really... why does it keep winning? #emmys
