Servant to elderly felines; expert hermit; wordworker in a specialized niche; true blue in a blue state. Post mostly photos, once in a while something political, but mostly a break for you from the daily anguish. All my photos unless noted.
I like e-books too, closing in on 900, will buy from the authors directly when I can. But I like hard copies, like the look and feel of them, especially when they have illustrations.

Pondering deeply the appropriate vengeance.

I'm pretty sure I've got it on pre-order with my local bookstore. Doing my best to wean off amazon as much as possible.

I'm trying and failing to imagine how a migrant navigating the border crossing would manage to bring even one cow along clandestinely, let alone a herd, without the Border Patrol noticing.

I'm trying to wean off book buying on Amazon. For Kim Watt, for example (UK author) her books it appears are not available here in hardcover or paperback but I can buy the e-books directly via her website. I read book samples on Amazon, then buy elsewhere if I like it.

My pleasure. I've got most of your books as Kindle fodder, but I did the Digger kickstarter for the hardcover (wonderful volume), and since Tidal Pages started up last fall I've been blowing holes in my budget browsing and buying there. www.tidalpagesipswich.com

Yes, I assumed so, but felt like being a bit of a smartass.

By the way, a lovely little indie bookstore recently opened in my town, and I'm making it a point to order all your books in hardcover from her. Somehow wound up with two copies of Hemlock &Silver, so gave one to my sister.

Well, yeh, wind that ruffles one's feathers is always bullshit, but I'm glad they're otherwise happily settled in. I trust the indigenous bugs are to their taste?
