I am a Larper. My favorite hobbies are embroidery and archery. All of my pieces are hand done with my own patterns (though I do sometimes use designs from films, games etc.) I do not sell.
I would have more respect or sympathy for the dad if he *continued abandoning his kid*. At least then he'd be owning his actions. Not trying to undo the abandonment but making it look like the kid is important to anyone who stops by feels performative. It angers me and makes me hate the dad so much.

For some reason that part really touches a nerve, not because it's unrealistic but the opposite. It's so like selfish, narcassistically parents. You abandon the child when he's not perfect and then someone spin it around to where *your* a victim of your abandoning your kid.

First you abandon the child you raised for 8+ years because you find out due to an accident at the sperm bank he's not biologically yours, then you have the audacity to save his pictures and films and bedroom as though he was important and special. As though you cared about him.

Vocab, you have entire cultural ideals that one must learn all kinds of different reference material just to have a vague understanding of what the subtext is. Then we get worse - malafores. Merging 2 idiomatic expressions togeather, doubling the reference material and increasing the difficulty.

And if enough people suddenly started using that phrase to mean "not ready to go", it would become an idioum and people would continue to say it *long after anyone remembered the reference*. So much of English is inside jokes/vague referenced. It's what makes English so hard - you don't just have

Nah, the final nail in the coffin was 2020 when they refused to hold Trump accountable. Before that, there were still some morals and integrity in the party. After that anyone with morals or integrity was chased away and the party died.

Honestly got confused for a minute because OP is about 3 firefighters who got shot by Maga guy.
Notice how it's always Maga that's shooting people?

And "No worries" means "Please don't worry about asking for service". They both have the same intent - recognizing the thank. People who insist on taking "No worries" as an "erosion of civility" are just looking for things to be upset about.

I just get really annoyed with stuff line this.
1. People in America do not answer mmmsmm in anything even close to a regular basis.
2. "No worries" is a millennial equivalent to "your welcome". Your welcome means "you are welcome to my service"

Also be held accountable for taking care of the people we instigated into actions. Whatever it meant for his people is besides the point. Are we liars or do we have integrity? Allowing America to get off Scott free by not even having to keep its promises is not excusable.

It literally is defensible though, because those crimes were "helping us". If you are not America, I have no qualms about not wanting to help him. If you are America, you have a duty to the people you convinced to help. We are the ones who should be held accountable for the invasion, but we shohld

Bull crap. The major cannot do a citizens initiative just to circumvent regular union negotiations for contract changes, especially ones as big as dumping pensions.

It will probably surprise very few of you to know that the party in control for this whole thing was the Reps.

The politicians rode the good vibes the angry citizens gave them for "saving the city", employee moral sank to rock bottom, and the employee union started a legal battle that's still going on, and has been for around 20 years now. (the supreme court has ruled the mayor citizen initive thing was

Have to pay the money back because there will be no fund that we owe money to.
They did this by villifying the civil servants. Huge campaigns that looked like Dodge, but on a city level. Then the mayor made a citizens initiative to do away with the pension.
Problem solved.
