Me & my mates at a Wimpy party on Fargate, probably around 1984ish. Don’t think Maccies had reached Sheffield yet so we were all #TeamWimpy back then. Was it a thing to punch Mr Wimpy in the nose or was that just us?! 👊😬

I did a survey in the gym tonight - favourite ever World Cup. Everyone said Italia 90. Except my husband who said US 94. Because England didn’t play. Absolute weirdo 🤣

Definitely wasn’t just you. I am a bit older & this is still the World Cup I’ve been most invested in. That Pavarotti song was everywhere. World in Motion. We were all obsessed with Gazza 😭 Everyone coming to school in England shirts (& shell suits 🤣). Those little car window flags 🏴 & Cameroon! 🇨🇲

I had actually forgotten this. It did seem massive at the time though! Maybe we do remember it that way because it was our “era” but I don’t think stuff like that would get on the news now??
