This NYE, don't forget the threat paper lanterns pose to wildlife. A more humane alternative is to take something else which is also a threat to wildlife, such as Stuart Radbourne, Master of the now disbarred Avon Vale Hunt, entangle them in wire mesh and decorate with fairy lights or candles.
