In a word, tariffs.

Doesn’t make it right, but it’s very plausible that we’d face 50% tariffs on all our exports to the USA overnight.

We need to call our Labor MPs and Senators and tell them we’ll support this move even if it triggers tariffs and economic hardship in the short term.
