There was a ruffed grouse waaaay up high in my birch tree yesterday morning. I have seen them in trees but not quite so high! I watched it fly (better term would be drop LOL) to the ground and thought it was so neat to see!!

Very cool. I told my brother if he sees it again- call me as I want to come photograph it! He's 45 minutes away from me too! He got some great photos. I think he was going to put it on a Manitoba Birding Facebook page.

My brother had one in his yard in east Selkirk a week or so ago! Same one maybe??
