Two of the greatest things I love in Europe are the surfboard bikes in the Netherlands and Hornussen in Switzerland.

As a lifelong voracious reader, I have never, ever been able to say this or that book is my favorite. The very notion would cause me to clutch my function.

The Murderbot Diaries books are my favorite.

This is a dog whose head smells exactly like old book. How delightful is that?

Sad news about Allan Ahlberg. When my kids were little, we wrote him asking some questions about references we didn't understand. He sent a lovely letter, and a box: signed posters & a limited edition book dedicated to his recently deceased wife. It was surprising and lovely.

Martha Wells created a third gender in the second #murderbot book, and the narrator used "te" and "tis" and honestly my brain went a long with it and didn't even really notice until I was listening a second time.

Before you start shitting on service people for "looking sloppy" or "shambling" or "not marching well when that's easy", well:

Do you *wish* it looked like North Korea?

Do you think they don't know what's happening here?

To the tune of Fortunate Son, they protested. They're part of the 11mil.
