Can anyone explain to me why Joe & Mika have that job?

I went to school in the south in the same era as him and I regularly heard the kind vile sentiment expressed in the Young Republicans group chats from grammar school all the way through college. Maybe Reverend Al can help Joe understand the problem with his story.

This morning I changed the channel just in time to hear him tell the most utterly oblivious, white guy anecdote about his boyhood in a recently integrated deep southern elementary school. To whomever runs that network: can you please free your viewers from this fucking blowhard?!
