Our 14yo cat went on an adventure and missed breakfast yesterday. All day my hubby looked and grieved, convinced she was gone forever. When she returned that afternoon, he was so upset with her that he swooped her up, brought her in the kitchen, and fed her a big pinch of Mexi Style 4 Cheese blend.

I'm super excited to purchase and restore this beautiful old 1890 barn in Oregon! Don't know the first thing about restoring old barns but can't wait to learn all about it! It was once mustard yellow with dark red trim. Can you picture it?

Beautiful Sunday morning. Always a treat to have a blue heron spend time at my place. The hawk overhead is a permanent resident.

Sly Stone was a legendary artist. I had the privilege of meeting him in 2008 and then working with him for a short time in 2011-2012. Despite his medical issues, he was still a very likeable character, and I enjoyed spending time with him. He will be missed. RIP.
