The Health and Human Services Dept is giving $211 million to enhance mRNA platform capabilities to help the U.S. better respond to emerging infectious diseases. Moderna has a $176 million award from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority to develop its mRNA bird flu vaccine.
