Kerkez continues to improve & I'd have left him on to play in front of Robbo. Hugo, goal contribution aside, needs to press better. The boos were not justified.

He’s had a tough start by being thrown in the deep end (the exact opposite of how we handled the introduction of Robbo). He’s improved recently - still prone to the odd rash challenge but has been making some great runs forward which don’t always get picked up (by his teammates or the TV cameras)

Agreed. It’s in stark contrast to Chiesa’s attitude which has been ultra professional (especially when originally left out of the CL squad). It’s very disappointing from Mo who, as one of the older squad members, should be setting a better example.

Was worried at the start of the season about the turnover of players, the lack of cover at fullback & the impact of the loss of Jota. I wish I’d been wrong. There was a concerning lack of fight on the pitch yesterday & the decision not to give Diaz an improved contract looks like a big mistake.
