Volunteers will still come, I think. It's just that they won't have had the chance to train in advance. Which means they won't be as effective or may even create problems despite good intentions.

Not a NY'er or even an east-coaster, so no skin in the game here. I thought they kicked out David Hogg out because he wouldn't be neutral enough? When they say the party must be "neutral" what does that really mean?

Yeah, billionaires are part of it. Do I really want to give an outlet with a toxic owner or point-of-view my $$$? Another part of it is just the sheer level of fragmentation in the journalism landscape. So. Many. Newsletters. Very easy to overthink what to subscribe to.
