Families leave because of a myriad of reasons; very rarely because they are "rejecting" the school. Families are messed up. Stop taking it personally.

I'm curious about what he means by the word lonely. Lack of friends to hang with? Or being with someone who shares same interests? Or is this a feeling of boredom? Or not sure what to do?
