She is one of a few cis women I know who aren't fem and who are increasingly being attacked in this way. This is why THIS is so dangerous to cis and trans folks. Just. Let. People. Pee.

"So anyway, I said, these biscuits are stale mate". I was going to eat them anyway, y'know, but he needed to know.

Whenever I'm working on a large and detailed piece, there's always a point I'd rather eat my own eyes than ever see the fucking thing again. And pass me the salt.

Peggy popped to the pub to see some of her friends last night, and it was absolute chaos.

Back to the drawing board. I might actually finish this thing in the next month or so.

Do you ever think "man, I would love to curl up, listen to the sound of swallows above, and nap in there". Because I really want to nap in there.

I am very tired.

Hurrah! The fair has arrived in Todmorden!

On the up side, my PhD thesis has meant no time for drawing the past few years, but my drawing board is still in Lee's room.

So he's been home a week! We've cancelled all our plans and he's stuck in a windowless room for a while, but he's doing ok. We have equipment, a district nurse for wound care and staples removal, and I've learned to give him injections every day.

He spent the next two weeks in hospital. He lost a lot of blood and his blood pressure was too low: for the first four days he passed out constantly. In the meantime, I dismantled my studio and turned it into a bedroom. Painted, built a bed, made the utility into a bathroom of sorts.

Lee had broken his hip and absolutely smashed the head of his femur. The nurses said its the worst break she'd ever seen. The surgeon said it was more like Lee had fallen from a building (he slipped on his arse). They operated for five hours and rebuilt his leg with rods and wire.

A dear friend drove from Bury to Morecombe, picked up Peg and I and drove us to the hospital, where Lee was exrayed. When the image came through, there was silence and then a whistle. Oh fuck. The paramedic came and shook Lees hand "you're incredibly brave, mate. Wow". Oh fuck.

We waited an hour for first responders and then both Morecambe and Arnside Coastguard arrived. Then the helicopter and they got morphine into him. Then they called the land ambulance and added ketamine. Finally, they could move him.

We'd been there 15 minutes a few weeks ago when Lee, out of sight on the beach, fell. I heard him yell. Thought oh oh. That sounded bad. For a little while I couldn't find him and when I did, I was calling an ambulance before I even spoke to him. He'd only slipped, but his femur was suddenly curved.

Lee and I have been heading out to Heysham. There are the remains of a church: saxon bits and earlier bits. There are graves cut deep into the cliffs there and on the beach I found a glass stopper. Layers of time. Peg went off lead for the first time and the sun has been shining. It's been gorgeous

Hello! It's been a while. I've been busy writing, stone bothering, walking and then three weeks ago it all went rather to shit. A thread:
