Christmas cactus is blooming!

Trying to get into the holiday spirit, so today I decorated my little Charley Brown Christmas tree (had to keep my cat from “helping” lol). I bought some tiny lights and some pretty ornaments, poured myself a glass of sherry and presto!

There’s a store in Victoria called The Market Garden that is quite the most amazing jewel box of a place. It’s like a magician’s magical grocery! My friend took me there today and I took pictures.

I’m visiting my dear friend in Victoria this weekend. We went for a walk along the waterfront..it’s a wild and windy day!

6:15 AM Sunday morning. Sunday evening there was a huge hail storm with thunder and lightning. Weather is weird.

Took a break from everything else to concentrate on getting stuff done around home today. I took my car in for a tuneup in the morning. Cleaned up the dead plants on the balcony. Took down the bird feeder that was damaged in the storm. Scraped off the moss from the concrete. 1/2

Along the street back home I passed this bit of whimsy covering a utility station. I love that the city does this!

Went for a long restorative walk in the woods today. Said hello to everyone I met, chatted with folks about some eagles who were calling from a tree and laughed at how their calls don’t match their size and stature. The forest was quiet and serene. I just walked and breathed in the calming air.
