My 24 yr old son spent 45 minutes last night explaining magnetism and metallurgy processes used in his job testing welds as well as MRI machines. There were diagrams as well. While we played chess. It was so interesting but my brain got completely fried from all of that thinking 😁

Oh no. I love the Jazz Singer soundtrack and I am going to firmly repudiate any association with that moron when I listen to it. I will instead associate it with Zohran 😄 I am in Australia so have largely ignored Cuomo as much as I can

I agree. That in the US judges are described as Republican or Democrat appointed is a massive failing of the system. It can be used to undermine that person's every decision no matter how ethical or as you say apolitical they are. And there are appointments that are very political

In the UK candidates are recommended to the PM for appointment by an independent panel. In Australia it's done by the Governor General (recommendation to the PM and Cabinet). We don't have the notion of judges being appointed by one party. I'm sure it could be improved, an independent panel ... 1/2

I see what you are saying but I disagree. The appoinment process should be apolitical, entirely merit based and not politically motivated.
