Really interesting exhibition at the Baltic by Lebanese artist Ali Cherri. How I Am Monument looks at history through a material lens - mud-based sculptures take inspiration from archaeological artefacts & the natural world.

Who says online can’t be interactive?!
A great workshop with our @archscot.bsky.social online YAC group today.
Deciding what they want to explore and do this year: sites, artefacts, activities.
Gathering feedback through games and discussions, including a fun ‘Would You Rather…’ game!

First visit to Jorvik Viking Centre since it reopened.
The artefacts are just incredible.

Favourite object… the Viking sock. The only Viking age sock found in England, probably from Scandinavia. Need to up my nalbinding game!

Another frosty morning in the Scottish Borders.
Time to get to grips with nålbinding. Again!
Thanks to a lovely work colleague for the beautiful Shetland wool. And to all the amazing craftspeople on #bluesky #CraftSky for inspiration!

For one of our projects the young people are looking for evidence of the bandstand that once stood in their local park.
Ended up down a bandstand rabbit hole!

The late 19thC Illustrated Catalogue of Macfarlane's Castings is incredible.
