A quick collage of just some of the birds that Merlin claims to have heard from my garden today. I think it’s having a giraffe, just as likely to see one of those than some of these! Most of them are right though but, and I also saw Red Kites and a Sparrowhawk which it missed.

I was born less than a mile from SJP, and listened to the crowd from my back yard, trying to guess the score from the reactions.
I fell out of love with the football club many years ago, but never the city, or the people. This first domestic trophy in my lifetime is big, I’m happy for them.
