Our IT dept. finally provided a way to opt out of the AI tool that had been forced into our email platform to help increase efficiency by sorting mail it deemed unimportant into a "Promotions" folder. My response:
Ticket Title: Promotions Folder - opt out Date Created: Mon 11/3/25 10:27 AM Central Standard Time Description: Please disable the "Promotions" folder that "learns" to sort my email, as I now must check multiple folders (inbox, promotions, junkmail) to ensure I don't miss time-sensitive information. This sort of AI tool is not helpful and has not proven more efficient for my workflow. I would never ask my mailman to pre-sort my physical mail, as I am quite capable of quickly reviewing the mail received and discarding junk mail all on my own. Thank you,
