I’m proud to share this community collaboration at @boxyardrtp . This project was so much fun. We built a big box and community members came through and painted and cut pieces of PolyTab to create a collage style sculptural mural. I loved working with visitors of Boxyard on this project!

Imaginary little world. “Where the Deep Breathes Bright” is escapism. Escaping to the studio, escaping into imagined world, spending time in a pocket dream world.

An installation I did for the city of Roswell, GA, a few years ago. Loved activating their greenway with this colorful, kinetic, reflective work!

Follow NC artists! I love the way following artists has made my feed so lively here. NC artists that I don’t know or forgot -comment if you want to be added! (Sorry for the typo- I edited it but for whatever reason it won’t change it- should read North Carolina Artists)

Second #artist #blog post is up. I’ve been feeling the need to gather my thoughts for more than a few hundred characters. I’d love your feedback on this post. 😬 janecheek.com/blog/2025/1/...

Last time the orange maniac was in office, I spent a year and a half teaching myself how to make installation #art because I had a dream of creating a giant rainbow that I could share with my community. We’re not going anywhere. Here’s the full story behind this piece. janecheek.com/blog/2024/1/...

Completely agree. Been making weird new worlds to escape to for a few years now and it feeds the soul/keeps me sane.
