Looks like small child’s school trip will be cancelled cos people won’t pay. I know people are skint but fuck me it’s £20, with two month’s notice.

People that block drives would get the chair in my regime.

Yes, our drive is currently blocked again.

Took small child to the village green to play with his rc flying dragon. Cat came with us. Cat climbed a tree. 😑

Good Lord, Titanic Sinks Tonight is excellent telly.

Wa so worried about snow where I am tomorrow I didn’t even stop to consider it would be where my new office is.

I might burst from anxiety today, lads.

We’re now up to mission impossible 4.
The best one so far for me, that burj kahlifi stunt is incredible.
January 4, 2026 at 4:18 PM
Watched the first two mission impossible films for the first time. Few takeaways: Tom cruise was very handsome. These films are boring until the last 10 minutes. I want to watch the rest.

Been up on the moors for a bracing walk. Small child comes alive outside, proper warms the cockles.

Went for a walk round the reservoir with small child. It is so windy and cold his eye was hurting and I have toothache. Still, nice to get out.

Start a new job on Monday. Snow is forecast for Monday.

There’s my anxiety for the next few days.

Husband was meant to be at football tonight, me and small child were excited for him to fuck off for a bit. Now he’s not going. 😑😡

Christmas at Castle Howard today. It was beautiful.
December 28, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Saw the Palestinian match in leeds today, caught the eye of one of the protesters and we just smiled at each other. It all made me quite emotional.

Great day with my best boy flying his new very light, very quick rc plane this morning and then the panto this afternoon.

I am now sad that Christmas is done and we have maybe two more (he’s 6, so?) before he stops believing.

Watching Finding Father Christmas and thrilled that MK is featuring. I always knew it was special.
December 26, 2025 at 12:35 PM
I remember the first few years of #duvetknowitschristmas . I’d get in drunk after my favourite night out of the year to my redecorated childhood bedroom (a purple nightmare) and laugh until I fell asleep.

Went for brunch with a mate and it was so nice and we talked for 2.5 hours and I feel replenished. Plus, look at it. 😍

A mere 12 years late, I have started Peaky Blinders. Alright innit.
December 20, 2025 at 9:46 PM
Small child Might get to go on a cool school trip next year if parents pay £20. Now, there will be lots that can’t afford it but there will be loads that can and take the piss. The school had to subsidise a lot last year because they advertise it as voluntary payment. So yea, I hate people.
December 20, 2025 at 9:00 AM
I woke at 2am to hear Husband crashing about downstairs and small child chatting to him. He’d also heard him and got up for a chinwag.
🙄😑🙄😑

Dropped husband at his Xmas do in a town I don’t know. Small child and I had a magical mystery tour trying to get out. Is there a risk of Germans invading cos there’s no bloody road signs anywhere.
December 19, 2025 at 6:27 PM
Husband wants Huddersfield stuff for Christmas. Season ticket holders (which he is) get 25%. I do not want to pay full price so I’ve stolen his card and am going to appeal to their better natures in the club shop.
Wish me luck.

Went to watch Nuremberg. What a great film but ooof. Bleak.
December 12, 2025 at 3:59 PM
Small child is at his first school disco. It only lasts an hour so rather than go back and forth I’m sitting in the car with some Lindt balls and a book. 👌🏻
December 11, 2025 at 4:37 PM
I’ve been watching a lot of 999: on the front line recently. My overriding thought is people ring an ambulance when they should get themselves to a&e. They’re surrounded by family and friends and they’re like ‘I keep being sick’ 🙄
