Students now ask Chat to summarize a story so they don't have to read it, then come to class and "discuss" the (usually wrong) summary Chat gave them. In response to this phenomenon, I gave Chat this prompt, got this response, and asked my students to write IN CLASS what was right/wrong.

Agree. I put the following in the front of my self-published novels, but I think it remains completely unclear whether something like this is even sufficient. I don't want my creative (or professional) work stolen. How do I opt out?
