Technically, we only provided "assurances" that their sovereignty would be respected, as did the UK and Russia, which are not legally binding. But it's a pretty dick move to say, "give up your nukes and we promise you'll be safe" then leave them high and dry when they get invaded. ETA: good on you for trying to change your mind. That's some seriously tough shit to go through

I think Labour got in on one small fact - they weren’t conservative.
