You don't have to be an attorney to write so well about courtrooms, but it surely helps to be one. This book is a very competent way of tackling the problem of justice undone. What's next though? Trump's sexual offenses trial? That would be a treat. Better still: let's make sure he has a real one.

no sex, no violence, no gore à la Kafka's "A Hunger Artist," no politicized socialism of Engels, London, Woolf, or Orwell. Plenty of empathy and a capable pen instead, describing the anatomy of poverty instigated by patriarchy's lesser, unwitting scallywags.
