Thought I'd post something positive today. Here are Franklin and Frisbee, 2 sweet rescues looking for forever home or foster parents. They are with @forourfriends rescue in Queens, where I help walk the dogs because I can't have dogs in my place. Anyone near Queens looking to adopt or foster?

Snowing. At this breakfast place a car's back window was open. I went in, said, "Anyone have a Volvo? Window is open." Guy says, "that's mine--I left it open for my dog in the back." Says it's a lab named Dora. I say I'm going to say hi. Big old sweetie looks at me, says, "Tell Daddy to hurry up!"

A baby swallow posed for me for quite a while last summer. I love catching swallows in flight but having a little one 2 feet away was quite exciting, too.

Sunny but very cold in Queens yesterday. Saw 2 red-tailed hawks, but the one flew away & I only got the 1 shot of both of them. The 1 that was left on the tree flipped me the bird & let me stand there & stand there & stand there for 30 minutes, freezing my butt off, until it finally decided to fly.
