2/2 - ...granted personhood through judicial interpretation. If artificial entities like corporations can attain constitutional rights, then surely the living breathing environment upon which we depend has an even stronger case for protection than these corporations.

3/5 - A 2022 article by ADFG and University of Alaska Fairbanks biologists, published in the scientific journal Diversity, found no increase in moose harvests in the years following nearly 40 years of predator control in Southcentral Alaska.

2/5 - Interestingly, the 2012 ADFG study on moose calf mortality in the Tyonek area found that despite predator control efforts, calf survival remained low. The spatial analysis showed no link between bear harvest locations and calf survival.

1/5 - Awesome, I’ve been skiing up there too! The concern is these approaches focus on predation, neglecting other factors needed to maintain healthy moose populations. AKs predator control programs are intended to boost game populations, but according to ADFG they have not increased moose harvests.
