Trains and Buses: SEA Edition!
An SBS Transit bus (a Mercedes Citaro) departs Woodlands Checkpoint in heavy rain. A large trail of water is pouring off the corner of the bus. A Malaysian ETS 3 train, manufactured by CRRC, finishes its southbound run at Kluang. Kluang is currently the southernmost terminus of Malaysia's electrified railway services; very soon the service will be fully extended to Johor Bahru, enabling a fully-electric Kuala Lumpur to Singapore journey. A shot of the Vancouver Skytrain. Sorry... a train of Kuala Lumpur's Kelana Jaya Line approaches Pasar Seni station, with the flag-adorned Kompleks Dayabumi building in the background. The free banana a TransJogia driver gave me. Thanks man!

I loved these other prints I got, and had the revelation that Shinon would be a good fit for the style! KumiShire was a wonderful artist to meet, and I recommend that you check them out!
A quartet of prints of KumiShire's artwork, the four of which are watercolour paintings inspired by historical Japanese artwork. All of the pieces feature women laying on bedsheets in various states of undress.

Janaff/Shinon in a well-lit room. Shinon is pushed head first into the ground, voices muffled in annoyed rage. Janaff towers over him (or at least tries to for a man of his stature) while penetrating the redhead from behind. Shinon's hair is undone, it looks very cute. In the bottom panels, Shinon is leaking cum while shouting "#![skull]&!". The camera zooms out of the building they are in; keeping the lights on was probably the bird's idea. In a dimly-lit room, with Janaff and Shinon's escapades outside in the distance, Rhys rides Ulki. It's very gentle, and Ulki seems happy to take it slow, helping to support Rhys who probably has a cold. Rhys is surrounded by several small speech bubbles with hearts in them. In the final panel, Ulki is forced to listen to Janaff, who seems to be looking over to smugly taunt the poor guy.

A preserved steam engine near the Taipei Metro's Tamsui Station. The adjacent information display describes locomotives as 'like a hen leading a bunch of chicken', which is an adorable metaphor and one which I must use in the future.

Tamsui today has been converted to electric metro operations. An information panel describing Tamsui's steam operations in Traditional Chinese, English, and Japanese. Origin of Tamsui's "Locomotives Drink Water" Steam locomotives are a type of locomotive that is powered by steam. Burning coal heats up water in the boiler and generates massive motive power, allowing the locomotive to drag numerous carriages back and forth on the railway like a hen leading a bunch of chicken. In order for trains to travel between two locations, it must burn large amounts of coal and replenish water. Tamsui is the terminal station of the Tamsui Line. After a train arrives, it can replenish its water supply while it is turning around (the BK-20's original design did not include a coal and water tank). "Locomotives drinking water" is a common scene here and has left a deep impression with the elderly in Tamsui. This photo was taken by physician Chang Tsuan-Chuan in 1956 and shows the deity welcoming parade early in the second month of the lunar calendar.

CKS Memorial Hall - Demonstrating the seamless cross-platform transfer between the Red and Green Lines.

Views of Taipei's Red/Tamsui-Xinyi Line. Its northern above-ground portion follows the route of the former Tamsui Railway, which closed in 1988 for conversion to a metro.
A view of the Red Line's Beitou Depot. A wrapped 3-car train for service on the Xinbeitou branch sits on the track to the left, and many more trains sit under the depot's shelters to the right. Throughout the yard, the line's third rail electrification is obvious. Fun fact: The Beitou Depot is also home to the 'Beitou Resort', which features a hotel, leisure facilities, and a train evacuation simulator. I low-key need to go. A view of Xinbeitou station. The Xinbeitou branch is a short 1-station spur served by a regular shuttle between it and Beitou station. A C301 EMU pulls into a station, behind the platform screen barriers. The C301 was built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in the United States, making it closely-related to many other Kawasaki-built American subway cars. A nice touch in Taipei is that the colour of the platform screens correspond to the line colours! Red for the Red Line here.

Taichung - Home of Taiwan's newest metro system, and a very impressive cross-city grade separation of the country's western mainline.
A TRSC automated metro train on the Taichung Green Line sits at a station. An EMU500 (or EMU600; I can't quite tell) sits at the platform of Daqing station; an interchange with the Taichung Metro Green Line. The station today is elevated and enclosed, a significant contrast from the humble surface-level station it replaced. An EMU3000 sits at Taichung's central station waiting for departure. A look at the exterior of Taichung's central station. In the middle is Taichung's old surface-level station, featuring the old platforms preserved as a museum. On the left is the new, elevated and grade-separated station.

Kaohsiung Port - What was once a large railway ard and railway termini is now a very grassy public museum, with a modern tram line running through it!

Taipei's *other* tram line! The Ankeng Light Rail, featuring one of the most unique settings for a tram line that I've ever seen.
The golden TRSC tram vehicle of the Ankeng Light Rail drives out of its towards the depot. It has emerged from a tunnel cutting though a very hilly section of jungle.

Trams near Tapiei! The Danhai Light Rail is one of the two tram lines on the Taipei Metro. Its rolling stock is notably built locally by Taiwan Rolling Stock Company; I'd love to see them be exported one day, I think they look really nice.
