If you’re really serious about changing this country so this can never happen again, it’s going to take years, or more likely decades, of sustained, difficult, and increasingly dangerous work. Elections are part of it, but the institutional Democratic Party as it exists now won’t be the vehicle.

These people aren’t going to give up power if they lose an election. That should be obvious by now. They don’t believe that there’s a legitimate election they can lose; if they lose, it’s not legitimate by definition.
