I will share with candidates what we would have liked to see more (or even less) of on specific tasks and / or questions. I make it clear that this is our take and may not be universal. It is often the case that candidates will be able to test examples at this point and I can respond to that.

I was very lucky to have a HT early on who gave detailed developmental feedback, even if you got the post. Didn't get 1st external DHT or first HT I applied for, benefitted greatly from the experience, and built a better understanding of what was required. I have always felt a need to pay this back.

Yes, that's definitely true. The thing that's important for them to hear - in the remaining time if we can get the word out. Is that there is no expectation from @beckyfrancis.bsky.social and the group for them to complete all sections. They can respond as fully as they like in just one or two

But it’s easy to forget to be intentional in this way. A while ago, I put together Qs for new line managers that might help them to guide someone through their ideas - not hugely school specific. It’s partly based on coaching training I’d completed.
