The first prototype of the 3D pixelated boss turned out so well that I’m seriously considering changing the whole game’s visual style to match it.

Not sure if I should tho, it might end up being an INSANE amount of lost time, i'll think about it.

I want to experiment with the idea of making the bosses 3D, pixelated of course.

It could make them feel bigger and more unique without breaking the game’s style.

Not sure yet, but I kinda like the idea.

Reworked how battles are resolved!

Previously, healing would happen first, followed by attacks. Now, attacks trigger first, and healing comes last.

Also, added coins and little animations for the numbers when healing!

Experimenting with evolving enemies: meet THE LARVAE.

Leave it alive for a few turns and it evolves into a fly.

Simple mechanic, but changes how you plan your moves.

I was testing status effects (like venom), and I don’t know what I touched, but apparently now you transform into a mini shield whenever you add one to your actions list.

Gamedev is definitely a thing.

Added a scoring system to help choose actions more strategically in combat.

Also planning to make the action pool randomized each turn instead of fixed. This will add RNG to this #roguelike !👀

Enemies now attack in order instead of all at once! With this, the battle system is FINISHED!

It was a bit tricky to automate for any kind of enemy, but I'm happy with the result!

The on-screen information has been improved!

Enemy icons no longer clutter the view, and it's now much easier to read what will happen at the end of the round.

I still think it can be improved (specially the action icons at the right of the enemy). What do you think?
