What, realistically, can Europe do about this? Trump is an imbecile, but he wields the power built up by competent people over decades of quiet, hard work. If the US stops supporting Ukraine in any capacity, or worse actively supports Russia with intel, what can Europe and the same world do about it

I am more interested in the mechanism which allows a human to completely change their morals on a whim. I'm sure some republicans sitting in the house or senate are decent people. What creates this possibility? Or rather what enforces this reality?

I know this is not directly US related but we are a family of 6 in the UK and we try really hard (and it is a LOT of work) to keep the monthly shops to a total of £700 / £175 a week. That's no meat of any kind to keep costs down. Energy bills are up from £1200pa to £3600pa.
