And there are often no safe methods for getting those very short distances other than driving because that infrastructure isn't even an afterthought, and enough people are maniacs that's it's hard to feel safe not in a car.

The housing shortage and inaccessible pricing is almost entirely due to private equity getting into residential housing supply. Housing should not be an investment played by the rich. Your retirement shouldn't be a house.

I'm very grateful for you saying that back then and upending my perspective from being "we should take care of people who need help" to "protecting disabled folks protects us all". It was never fear mongering... it's a very real and historically founded perspective.

I'm not saying you're them or that you're a bad person. I'm informing you of a context you might not have known and asked you to reconsider your use of the term boi in the future if you'd like to avoid alienating queer folk and avoid reinforcing pejorative uses of terms used to describe queer folk.

Boy is not the same as boi. In American slang, boi is used in two primary contexts: queer and ghetto, neither of which remotely intersect with Proud Boy culture. They, understandably, might misuse the term. Just like they might use "gay" as a pejorative term to demean a person or thing.

I'll accept anecdotal evidence of Hewson having tear gas deployed at his feet and him being "just fine".

As a request, the use of term "boi" is queer-associated and really isn't appropriate in this context. Using queer naming to demean bad folks can undermine what i can reasonably expect is unified queer hatred of ICE.

financially, especially the poorest. But we also bailed out these financial giants. Anyway, wealth consolidation is why everyone feels poor, and why the rich continue to play stupid and dangerous games with the US and world economy, my retirement, and the ability for many of my friends to survive.

Agreed. Under less-And-less controlled capitalism, we outsourced manufacturing to save money ... but the money continued to consolidate in the purses of the rich instead of distributing equitably. The rich also started playing dangerous financial games, failed BIG, and drowned so many people /1
