Day 2. Top finished and attached. I spent well over an hour figuring out how to make the angled and tapered legs. It got its final sanding. Tomorrow onto finishing. Still having a lot of feelings. #chrimbus

Building a record/stereo stand for my youngest daughter’s present. Working in my dad’s shop for the first time since he died 2 months ago. It’s kinda a lot to take in. I find myself wanting to ask where this or that tool is. Mourning sucks. #ghosts

I started playing #hollowknight a few months ago when #silksong was in the zeitgeist. I wanted to see what the hype was all about. This game touched core memories of games that were super hard and required 14 yr old reflexes. And you still died all the time. It’s a hell of a thing at 52. Love it!

Here’s a picture of a sculpture. My awesome phone takes great pictures in a format that my older MacBook can’t open. It’s not like I need to get these photos uploaded in the proper format for art show applications in order to, you know, make a living.

Daphne- clay and copper. Daphne was the daughter of the river god. She was beautiful and fiercely independent. Apollo wanted her from his own. Rather than submit, she prayed to her father for help and became a tree right before Apollo’s eyes.

Cicada- steel and clay. I just finished this commission. I’m happy with the sculpture overall. There a few things I would tweak if I did another one. But I need to keep in mind, perfect is the enemy of good (and great for that matter).
