My eldest is a service academy graduate-and he happens to be biracial. He has a degree in bio chemistry, yet I have a visceral fear that those assholes would look to take his commission from him. They’re that hateful.

Instead of offering criticism, why don’t you do something actually constructive, like organizing a needed items drive for when the fires are out and people need basics things to live.

I don’t think it’s an unpopular thought on here. While the felon wouldn’t recognize it, Jimmy Carter was that kind of person who always knew how to go high, and leaving the felon out would just add fuel to his persecution complex!

I’m down in the very south of San Diego County, and we barely have a breeze. We have been under a high wind warning, but that’s more inland.
In 2003 all of SoCal was on fire-from Los Angeles to the Mexico-US border-we evacuated to our Navy base!

I lived in that state for 20 months, and I don’t miss it at all. A couple of my kids met some friends there that they’ll have for life-but that’s the best I can say about living there. The governor is a complete asshat-and mean!

As soon as I see anything that supports the felon, whether in their posts or profile, I block them. They’re not worth it-though I will occasionally send them a link to cult recovery services, as well as signs of being in a cult. 👍😁

If you know about the Santa Ana winds, then you should how pointless your posts are. Again, fires are still raging but you’re complaining about something that has nothing to do with people having to flee their homes, and people dying. You need to rethink your priorities!

I always check someone’s profile before blocking. I don’t block someone for ‘disagreeing’ with me-that’s life. I block people who are very clearly in the cult, and who post utter BS. They aren’t worth wasting my time reading their lies, disinformation, and petty insults.

Except we’re not in ‘after,’ as the fires are still raging. People are still evacuating. I have a room set up for a young friend ‘just in case.’ And OBTW, no amount of water, regulations, reservoirs, etc., are going to stop the Santa Ana winds from blowing.

One of my kid’s uses it (under 30), because he’s stationed in Japan and wants to share his adventures with our very large extended family, and his friends. I’m going to try and get him to get rid of it. My other three kids have one but don’t use it!
