there was a time around early Y2K when LORAH and Psalm 69 cassette tapes were everywhere and no one wanted them. I think I have two of each because people knew I liked Ministry and gave them to me

to be fair re Jogia's performance, i feel they chose to keep Leon in one-dimensional comedic rookie mode for most of it because they were trying to fit too many characters into the ambitious two games+ plot

That's the magic of that 1980s personal computer era, we didn't have to have any special knowledge and could just jump right onto Compuserve or Prodigy and try to figure stuff out! Kinda makes everything afterwords easier for us. Like learning to drive manual transmission before an automatic.

Right, but since we were just talking names of the Commodore line, I think it's a fun one. I know the PET as well. A few people have even made little PET minis based on Raspberry Pi.

Ah some competition for the all yellow collector. Bravo!

Oh, I thought it had to be one we were running now. I keep a 128 as a working display piece and have boxed working 64. Almost bought a Magnavox Odyssey2 a couple weeks ago, but decided to just invest more in my 128. Yeah you picked the best sounding then. And along that line, "Pet" is kinda cool too

Hmm so I would have to go with C128 or Commodore-128 Tempting

Yeah, I gotta check the newer one out as well. But this 90s Jet Li stuff does feel right about now. So nostalgia is definitely a factor. Especially the "modern" era ones in Hong Kong.

I always liked this one aesthetically with all the metaphysical stuff. Did you like the more recent version from a couple years ago?

TBH honest, I'm starting to appreciate these because when I first watched them, I had the Cantonese versions. So, now these offer a whole new experience. And retro y2k music on top of that!

Always liked that cover more!

These are fantastic. Can't believe I haven't come across them before.

great idea. btw don't worry too much if it doesn't play perfectly, alot of the modern ones are pretty quirky.
January 25, 2025 at 4:55 AM
worth getting one now tbh. I have a running 128 on permanent display.
