My big Christmas gift this year was a Crokinole board. It’s a Canadian tabletop game that’s like a combination of shuffleboard, curling, and bocce.

We had so much fun playing. So much fun that my mother offered to keep the board on the table that it fit on so well. 😂

Can’t wait to play some more!

The team with their new adult ally quickly finished building the weapons systems and launched away into adventure, a pirate fighter hot on their tail.

"Hey, where's SM-33?" asked Neel.

Wim prepared to shush his friend for breaking the fourth wall *again*, but paused. "Good point, Neel."

"PIRATES!?" exclaimed the younglings in unison.

They quickly got to work.

"Wouldn't this go faster if he used the Force?" mumbled Neel.

"What?" said Wim.

"Nothing..." he muttered back.

“Neel!” whispered Wim. “We’re trying to tell a story here! Let’s get to work on the next bag instead of thinking about narrative inconsistencies.”

As he got ready to tackle bag #4, a familiar figure appeared.

"NEEL!" shouted Wim as he rushed to his friend and pulled him into an embrace.

Neel looked around in confusion. "Where are we, what is all this?"

"Help me build, and we'll talk." said Wim.

I cannot express how much I love this cat. Moz is our loud boi. And the cat who loves laps and attention the most.

He has recovered from his cold and is gaining some weight back, which is wonderful!

But his intestinal issues continue despite steroids, which has us anxious. Get better buddy!

Well... Bag #3 was finished, and Wim still had no idea what he was building. Some weird mechanism was added to the top of the structure, and a ramp was added on the far end of the bed. At least he'd never a little more protected if that crazy creature came back.

All of a sudden, Wim found himself pinned to the ground by a very large and fuzzy creature. He screamed as the creature pushed him around. In a few moments, the creature grew bored and wandered away.

Wim really needed to get working on the next bag.

Whatever he was building, it looked a lot more complex than a house - which is what Wim thought it might be after bag #1. But he was pretty satisfied with his work, whatever it was.

Time for a break and some more tea. Maybe the next bag would provide some clues.

Wim woke from his nap and opened bag #2. These pieces looked a lot more complicated, and a lot bigger. He was still alone, and help would have been appreciated. Nothing to it but to get to work and try to figure out what he was building.

This is Moz. Moz has been having intestinal issues which he’s on steroids and special food for. Then he got a nasty cold. He’s had sneezing fits and problems breathing through his nose.

He had a vet visit yesterday and got some antibiotics and B12, plus nasal drops. Today he seems a little better.
