I mostly taught A level Maths & Further Maths in a sixth form, but I now produce content for all sorts of maths courses and levels.

I think there are several cases where XY and PQ would be parallel, as there are basically no restrictions on where the vertices are. E.g. what if PQRS is a rectangle?
Any thoughts? Is this an oversight in the question?
