Ugh. It’s a scary thought is all I know.

That idea that we should not come as we are is one I will have to consider for a while before I can agree with Hauerwas. Especially as a spiritual director, much of my work is the idea that God meets where we are. But the hope is mostly that we don’t stay there over time.
