I’m so used to looking at the trees, I am clearly overlooking the little scenes at my feet! This wonderfully photogenic haircap moss, along with sphagnum and a birch root caught my eye!

This was a complex little scene from the weekend. I spent some time trying to make this work, and not sure I’ve succeeded really. I like the tones, textures and shapes but it’s maybe a bit too busy?
