Writer, drummer, dungeon master, philosopher, I will never lose, I will never die.
If you use ai to get schoolwork done, you're cheating yourself.

It's like paying thousands to go to the gym, only to have a robot lift the weights for your whole workout. You've saved yourself some trouble, but in the process you've lost the whole reason why you're there in the first place.

But that's not what education is. Professors aren't essay-vores, colleges aren't report-factories. The goal isn't the paper, the goal is giving you knowledge and skills to improve your future - the paper just stands to show what you've learned.

"If I find the main female character attractive, it was made for me and it validates me. If I don't find them attractive, it is a grave and personal insult."

A romance set in medieval Hungary, it's been a real treat researching for this series!

The fruits of the "fake news" ideology, where anything can be denied and no standard of evidence is more convincing than vibes.

I love all the guys who get offended by this idea.

"What do you mean, my core values matter for our compatibility? Can't you just ignore my beliefs and actions and date me anyway?"

Really makes it clear what they think relationships are.

The things that really make us happy - community support, authentic relationships, creative expression - are far harder to monetize than individual consumption. Modern capitalism pushes us to degrade our most important values in the name of profit.

I'm sure at some point I'll get used to it, but every sale still feels unbelievable to me! I put some words on a page, and other people... Want to read them? They'll even PAY for the privilege? Absurd. Impossible.

It's insane how far republicans will go for the sake of signalling allegiance. They have so few people of genuine worth, they'll make a celebrity of ANYONE, as long as they're publicly against anything the libs support.

Absolutely true. Some people think writing just requires creativity, but there's a whole world of craft and skill that goes into making your creativity shine.

Nobody can sit down and play a piano concerto flawlessly without practice. The same goes for writing a book.

Never forget that the goal of insurance companies is to pay out as little as possible, despite that literally being their only purpose.

The profit motive drives them to innovate new ways to NOT pay their customers. There is no other way they can compete.

Health care is incompatible with markets.

It's hard sometimes, convincing myself that all this work is worth it, but it gets a bit easier every time someone new picks up one of my books.

So thank you, to everyone who's supported me thus far. I hope you keep enjoying my stories.

What's more, with great historical fiction, we can see the seeds of our present moment, and we can understand a little better how we came to be where we are today.
