Jamie Fackler's campaign has a lot in common with Shrek. It's about standing up for people in Seattle who have been pushed out and pushed aside because of wealthy interests. It's about saying I #GiveAFack about where I live and those who live around me.

As a union shop steward, I see decisions that impact workers without consulting them. My approach will be the union organizational model. Let's determine how government can perform the necessary work. If it can't, let's work together to change the laws. But we're going to do it together. #GiveaFack

Corporate interests have consistently opposed social housing in Seattle. I not only helped campaign and voted for Prop 1A, but I will continue to fight for the full implementation of social housing in Seattle as a member of the City Council. #GiveAFack

We don't need more police officers in schools. We need school counselors and psychologists. Let's give South Seattle kids the skills they need to navigate life, rather than punishing them for learning differences.

Our campaign is calling on the city to implement *immediate* safety improvements on Rainier. There have been 1,500 injury and fatality crashes on this street over the last decade. This is unacceptable. South Seattle deserves safe streets.

Social housing provides an opportunity to transform the housing model in our community. I not only voted for Prop 1A, but will continue to fight for the full implementation of social housing in Seattle. We have to expand housing ownership options for people of all income levels.

The inequality in our transit system is evident every day to people riding into our city on the Seattle Light Rail. I am committed to working in partnership with SDOT and Sound Transit to address this issue and enhance the safety of transit travel in South Seattle.
