With a heavy heart, it's time to say goodbye to Happy Hollow. It was a gift of a project, a joy of a process, and a strange bird of a show that I remain proud (and grateful) to have worked on. Onwards. 🤘🔥

Here are the kind anthologies that include some of my work this year. They're brimming with stories from fantastic genre writers of many different backgrounds. If you're traveling for the holidays, consider one of these as a companion.

Received this gorgeous edition of THE DARKEST NIGHT today. Congrats fellow contributors. And my gratitude to editor Lindy Ryan and the Twisted Retreat Horror Advent Box. BRUISER is a strange bird of a story, and I'm touched to see it find such a wonderful home.

A week in a cabin in the woods. There's an initial loneliness to solitude, like the shock of dipping a toe into cool water. Reminding myself that acclimation won't take effort. Only time.
(A comfy chair by a fire and a big window also help.)

Revisiting Arcane season 1 EP 3. It remains as close to a perfect episode of television as I can point to. And as fine a character-driven tragedy as I've come across.

Despite multiple rewatches, I'm still moved by the last 15 minute stretch. What a set piece.

Wandered into Bmoreplaywrightsbrew night at Peabody's. Heard (and helped read) a few plays. Some lovely work. Made me nostalgic for my old days on the boards

Thinking it may be time to revisit The Secret Lives of Dentists. Based on The Age of Grief, by Jane Smiley. (Her title is better, imo)
