Great opening panel touching on AI and synthetic data. At 13:15 on Thursday, @d1479.bsky.social will present Building Synthetic Participants - leveraging #GenAI to bring the customer to life and deliver. Should be very interesting to hear from those already doing this #ephmra2025

Has Bluesky overtaken X as the place to post online during healthcare conferences? No, but it has made significant headway in the last 6-months.

Will Bluesky overtake X as the place to post online during healthcare conferences? Possibly not, but it is here to stay as part of the mix.

➡️ Some specialities organised something of a co-ordinated migration to Bluesky, others have just let the chips fall.

➡️ Some conferences have created Bluesky accounts and have actively encouraged participants to take part in the online conversation there, while others are not yet present

There are many factors to consider that affect the platform used for the online healthcare congress conversation.

➡️Some conferences receive global attention, others are more focused on a country or region, Bluesky uptake is more prevalent in some countries than others.

Now in 2025, it seems the #NephJC changeover period is over. Almost all the top online voices in nephrology are using #Bluesky as their platform of choice to discuss the latest #science.

In December, #NehpJC hosted journal clubs on both platforms and it was observed that users engaged (liked, commented on and shared posts) twice as much on Bluesky as they did on #Twitter.

This is true @careia.bsky.social, I've been interested to see the variance between healthcare specialisms.

I've noticed some medical congresses have shifted towards Bluesky in a serious way, others have stuck to Twitter.

Also, uptake with the various #MedSky hashtags tells an interesting story!
